The day of the trip, excitement was in the air. We were traveling to Thessaloniki. The home to countless invaluable monuments, history, great food and so much more.
Despite some of us having traveled before and for some of us it being the first time, the trip went smoothly and it was overall fun to try with friends. Upon arriving we met our guide Miki who led us to our hotel in the center, where we would be staying for the next two weeks. Having settled in, we went for a short walk to the restaurant just a couple minutes away. There, we had dinner.
The next day started with a delicious hotel breakfast, after which we had just enough time to prepare for the welcome ceremony held by the organizers of the project. They further introduced us to our roles and the project itself. For the two weeks to come, we were going to be working on a website, with our boss teaching us all the useful programs and tricks to get us started. All while paying daily visits to a variety of monuments Thessaloniki has to offer, and so much more.
It ended up being just as they described it to us and the whole experience was great. Educational and fun. We all worked perfectly as a team and at the end of our stay we fulfilled all our tasks, even did more than we were required to. We all felt more than satisfied with the knowledge we gained during our two week trip and agree that it will be more than useful to us in the future.
